Melbourne Law School is hosting the Australian Tax Research Foundation's Housing and Taxation Symposium on Wednesday 11 February 2009.

Time: 9:00am - 5:00pm (Registrations from 8:30am)
Venue: Law School, 185 Pelham Street, The University of Melbourne
Lunch and refreshments will be provided
Cost: $275 for full fee or $235 for members of ATRF and Tax Institute of Australia. *Included in this cost is a Symposium Dinner being held at the Rydges on Swanston at 6:30pm*.

The Symposium will include leading international and Australian speakers, including taxation and housing industry practitioners and policy makers from law, economics, policy, and the private sector. Speakers will discuss the timely issues of the impact of housing market volatility, the need for tax reform in the current fiscal climate and the effect of reform on house prices, the interaction of federal and state tax systems, and regulatory regimes on housing affordability and sustainable housing models.
